Biography

Erich Spessard, Esq. is the attorney behind Spessard Law Firm LLC.

​

Erich grew up in a military family and moved around quite a bit, settling eventually in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate degree at Clarion University (now PennWest Clarion) and then graduated from the College of William and Mary Law School in 2012. 

 

Erich's legal career initially focused on criminal law, where he started at the Allegheny County Public Defender's office. He eventually moved back to Clarion, where he became Chief Public Defender. After serving over 6 years and handling over 1,000 cases, Erich accepted a position as Assistant District Attorney. During his time in those positions, he has cultivated a reputation of  being a knowledgeable, respectful, and tenacious advocate for his clients, whether they be indigent defendants or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

 

When not at the office working for his clients, Erich can be found giving back to his local community through service on the Clarion Area School Board, the ARC of Clarion and Venango Counties, walking his absurdly massive dogs throughout his neighborhood, cheering on his kids in local sports leagues, playing the occasional game of Dungeons & Dragons, tinkering with the newest developments in tech, and reading up on the newest legal developments in all areas of the law, because, if you hadn’t already noticed yet, he's kind of a nerd.​​
